Wedding Processional (Walk-In) Music
The walk-in is probably the most beautiful part of the wedding day. Time almost stands still and the attention of everyone is completely focused on the most important person, the bride. This unique atmosphere calls for music that is delicate, heartfelt, and all about love. It also tends to be of a slower tempo.
Listen to our version of ‘Close To You’ to get an idea of what we mean:
If you are looking for something a bit more modern but still with a classic, romantic feel then ‘Come Away With Me’ is a very popular choice:
And for that timeless feel, ‘When You Say Nothing At All’ is one of our personal favourites:
Take a listen and see if any of these feel right for your ceremony. Feel free to head over to YouTube for more song ideas.
Wedding Registry Signing Music
The signing of the register, though a very important part of the actual wedding ceremony, usually acts as a little break for the wedding guests. So some light background music goes down well at this point. We have found that more jazzy numbers fit really nicely. Here are two songs that we have found work really well for this moment:
They are lovely songs, but they don’t draw too much attention and they provide a pleasant backdrop to the signing. No need to overthink the music for this section, hopefully these two examples give you a good idea of what works.
Wedding Recessional (walk-out) Music
The walk-out is the climax of the ceremony. There is applause, there is confetti, there are smiles and there is music. It is an upbeat, celebratory moment. So the music should reflect that. The walk-out music can also signal a change from the ceremony to the drinks reception, which has a bit more of a social/party atmosphere. So songs with a slightly faster tempo and more energy can help set the scene.
Here are our selections:
We’ve had quite a few wedding guests singing along when we played these songs for the walk-out music. They really help to get people up and ready to toast your wedding! Our top pick for this section would be ‘Top Of The World’.
We hope this helps in planning your wedding ceremony and in making your special day unforgettable. For more inspiration, check out our other blog posts and head over to our YouTube channel for more videos.
